Reasons To Attend Conference

Have missed a few days because "Life happens", but I am back on the job, and have three reason to attend conference today:  Room Service, Maid Service, and Being Waited On.  Indulge yourself and attend conference.  It is a vacation from the stress of our daily routine.  Attend conference and you will return home refreshed and rejuvenated!!!  Registration deadline is April 12th.  Hope to see you there!!!

Reasons To Attend Conference

Another reason to attend conference is that it is your annual Altrusa Family Reunion.  At District Conference, you see Altrusa friends old and new.  There are opportunities to chat casually over delicious meals and to share memories in beautiful surroundings.  From time to time, we hear of great family reunions, and many of us may have had the privilege and pleasure of attending some of those wonderful family events.  Now, guess what, each of us has that same opportunity each year at District Conference.  We are all invited to take time to re-connect with our Altrusa family and experience all of the warmth and camaraderie of a family reunion.  Hope to see you there.  Deadline for registration is April 12th.

Reasons To Attend Conference

Today, I have to give two reasons because I missed yesterday.  So here we go.  Two reasons to attend conference.  There is excellent bargain shopping in Hagerstown.  I am sure that some time will be given to a shopping trip.  If not, plan to stop at some of the shops on the way home.  The discount shopping is great, and who can't use a few discounts in this economy!!!

 

Next reason, awards are given at conference and it is such a thrill to hear your name and/or your Altrusa club name called out in front of the whole group as your President steps to the podium to accept the award.  This year, we could win an award simply by attending the conference.  There is a "Participation Award" for the club with the best attendance.  That could could be us!!!  See you at conference!!!  Deadline date for registration is April 12th.

Reasons To Attend Conference

Another reason to attend conference is that it is lots of fun.  First of all, we will be doing a lot of things together like dinners, celebrating any special events that might occur, etc.  then the conference committee plans lot of fun and exciting activities.  Last year we had beautiful buffet breakfasts and dinners, played volleyball on a lovely patio and had lots of fun in the hospitality suite!!!  Every conference is different, but always lots of fun!!!

Another reason to attend conference is that friendships are formed.  We get to do so many things together at conference that we get to know each other much better than before conference.  Lasting friendships can be formed.  Come to conference this year and make some new friends!!!

Another reason to attend conference is that the information gained at conference can help us reach the goals and objectives that we have for our club.  At conference, we get to see what other clubs are doing.  From this, we can get ideas about how to improve our club.  From the workshops, we can get ideas about speakers and topics that might be interesting to share with our club, and from conversations with fellow Altrusans, we can get ideas about program planning and implementation, interesting projects, and a variety of other things.There are so many thing to be gained from conference-the interesting people that you meet, the thought-provoking workshops that you attend, and the information gained from it all!!! Remember that the deadline for registration is April12th.  Hope to see you in Hagerstown!!!

District Two is Calling Us to Conference

 

Check your email because you will soon be receiving an email "Calling you to the upcoming District Two Conference".  It will be held in Hagerstown, Maryland, May 12- May 15.  Our very own Silvia Silverman is the conference chair.  This is the first conference being held in a central location without a local Altrusa club.  Conference is a tremendous opportunity to develop leadership.  Our participation is vital to promote the growth and commitment essential to the success of Altrusa.  the deadline for registration is April 12th.  Let's turn out and support our very own Silvia Silverman at the conference this year.  Hope to see you there!!!

I don't think you can truly know yourself as an Altrusan until you attend a District Conference.   You meet so many wonderful women, it is truly an exciting time of initiation as a first timer and enjoyment.  Treat yourself!  Every Conference is different. Make it special by your attendance.

Reasons to Attend Conference

Reason #2:  The conference is nearby.

 

From an economical point of view, the location of the conference this year is great.  The conference is located very near to us, and that makes it easier and more economical for all of us to attend.  Last year, the conference was in Altoona, and I was able to drive there, but this year it is even closer.  The organizers of the conference have done their best to make the accommodations comfortable and affordable.  I understnad there are great low rates on luxury suites!!!  I encourage everyone to attend conference this year.  Who knows when the conference will be this close again!!!

Reason #1:  You get a lot of information about Altrusa

 

One big reason for attending the upcomoing conference is that you will get so much information about Altrusa.  You will get the "big picture".  I attended last year for the first time, and I was amazed how my perspective about Altrusa changed.  The people were interesting, and they shared so much information about the history of the organization.  I learned that we have a seat at the United Nations!!!  The workshops were great.  There was so much valuable information given out in the workshops.  Information that was helpful to both our personal and professional lives.  I could go on and on about the information,but I think you get the picture.  I became aware of this great, impressive organization of which I am privileged to be a part.
